Science Academy

Science Academy is for students who want an intense experience with physics and engineering, marine science, medical science or chemistry and even science in general. In the institution students will be part of both classroom learning and field work in the environment of Sturgeon City and other surrounding areas. Students will be involved with hands on work in the field, conducting experiments, testing the water systems, cleaning up the surrounding area and much more.  Students sign up for specialties, working with others and exploring other topics. Teamwork is a large part of the institute. The students will learn team work and leadership development skills. They will learn to work well with others, along with the unique scientific experience that they will get at Sturgeon City. A teacher recommendation is required for the Science Academy and students are required to participate in 20 hours of institute learning after the Academy is over and within 10months. Open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who desire advanced learning.
