Student Leadership Development Institute

Getting ready for a great day!

Student Leadership Development Institute is designed to help build young leaders through empowerment, team building and an understanding of community. The students will engage in many funfilled teambuilding activities including relay races, challenges and obstacle courses. The students will be taught by the Young Leaders Institute who will have been taught in advance. they will act as guides to the students and will mentor them in many helpful ways. Activities include a community service project. Through the project, the students will learn about problems in the community that they are a part of while also being a part of the solution. The students will travel to many plaes such as the salvation army, the memorials in Jacksonville and many other community based places. Through these projects and activities, the students will ultimately gain important teamwork and leadership skills. Open to 9th grade graduates.
